4 Days Seminar on “Construction Project Management”
organized jointly by RAJREDCO, State Government and NICMAR

Eminent and renowned
Private & Government sector construction agencies discussed on “Construction, Project
Management and Quality Control & other related Construction issues in
this four days workshop. Under the management of RAJREDCO, the various
eminent authorities gave their viewpoints on various aspects of
construction, Quality Control and Financial/Cost management issues.

Management
Experts Mr. K Bijoy & Prof. A K Garg’s Presentations on cost management
of Construction Projects and Man Power Planning & Human resource
Planning held the attention of audience. |

|
Experts from
IIT Delhi, Mumbai and IIM Ahmedabad also gave suggestions on various
aspects of construction management. In the third session “Claims and
Arbitration” subject was explicitly discussed by Prof. J. P. Moonga. |

Mr. H. C. Chawla
widely described the issues of “Construction Management – Meaning and
Scope” in the ninth session and “Construction Equipments –
Planning and selection” in the twelfth session. |

It was discussed in
the workshop that before starting of any projects the basic things like
relationship of the neighbors in the working area, facilities provided
to the neighbors and labour laws should be taken care of. |
|

|
On this
occasion, Mrs Usha Sharma, Secretary to Govt. Department of Urban
Development and Chairman RAJREDCO conveyed that the participants should
make active use of new construction techniques in their projects. |

In the
inaugural cum Ist technical session, Dr. M. G. Koregaonkar, D. G.,
NICMAR, laid emphasis on “Project Management – Concepts and Scopes”. |
|

|
Dy.
Director, NICMAR Mr. Pramod Mishra described the benefits of labour
laws. |
|
| |
|
In the end,
90 participants of the workshop were presented with certificates by the
council Chairperson cum Secretary, UDH, Rajasthan Smt. Usha Sharma |
