|
Present Scenario |
|
| |
Shelter is a basic need of every human being for dignified living. In
India, this privilege is not available to all. Estimated shortage of
dwelling units, as per 10th Five Year Plan, was 22.4 million. In coming
15-20 years, 80-90 million housing units will have to be constructed,
and majority, out of this, would be for low income group.Housing and
real estate industry has significant linkages with other sectors of
economy and over 250 associated industries.A unit increase in
expenditure in this sector has the capacity to generate income as high
as five times. |
|
| |
From the above, it would be
seen that
there is a pressing demand to meet the
social obligation of "housing for all" provides an opportunity to boost
real estate investment that has the potential for rapid growth of Indian
economy |
